Conceived in third or fourth grade (1993 or 1994), the wakeover is a modern annual festival commemorating the coming of summer and the end of school. It complements the more familiar "sleepover" with the obvious twist. 2008 will be the 14th or 15th year in a row we have gathered for the occasion.
