As has been the case in each Wakeover since our National Tour in 2006, there will be one party missing. This year, Andy is absent for the first time in history, rebuking Pennsylvania for the cloying sunshine of the Pacific.
Andy assures us that his fanatical adherence to Compressed Californian Consciousness has allowed him to "stay awake" for up to 36 hours in one 12-hour span, but we are skeptical, and eschew his West Coast fads. We offer Andy this forum to rebuke our stoicism and entice us with new lifestyles.
Today's Wakeover also features the return of Pete, who will join us for the first time in four years. Pete figures to be something of a wild card. Will he continue to bestow gentle blessings as he did in 2007? Or will we see a return of the land-mad tyrant who wrecked our dreams in 2002? Keep an eye on this as the night progresses.
Jason, Zach, and myself are undaunted. Joe may stop by. We look forward to sleeping. Tomorrow. And after the unconscionable failure of 2010:
